Well it’s official, the Senate & House have voted to repeal “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”. Now it’s up to President Obama to sign the legislation, what a nice holiday gift this will be and it’s about time too!
Now if we can get the Senate & House to pass additional legislation to give Gays & Lesbians the same Civil Liberties that straight married couples enjoy like Social Security (if it’s still solvent) real estate laws, inheritance, tax laws, and the ability to make medical decisions for our significant other or even to be allowed in our loved ones hospital room as next of kin. They could call it “That All Men are Created Equal”. Wait, that’s already in the Constitution! So come on House of Representatives and Senators get on the ball & get something done!! Civil Equal Rights NOW!!!
